NEW POSITIONS IN MANET+ BOARD

• Due to vacancies in MANET+ board, new board members were elected during the 2006 AGM held at Natural Resources College in Lilongwe. These are: Mrs Bertha Sefu , Mrs Mary Mangwiza Manyusa , Reverend Maurice Munthali and Mrs  C Banda.              

- GOVERNANCE ROLES

• Training of the Directors of MANET+ Board in governance and leadership particularly emphasizing on the board’s key roles of performance and conformance.

• Regular Board of Directors Meetings conducted every quarter to continue providing oversight and general policy direction.

POLICY FORMULATION AND ENFORCEMENT

• Revised Staff Terms and Conditions of service.

• Reviewed MANET+ recruitment policy to allow for deliberate PLWHA inclusion.

• Appointment of KPMG as auditors for MANET+ other than depending on auditors appointed to do audit for the donors.

• Supervision of MANET+ Operations

• Conducted spot check visits to some MANET+ Member Support Groups to appreciate work being done.

• Made approvals of MANET+ proposals before presentation to potential donors.

• Presided over hand - over ceremonies of cash or in-kind assistance to some Member Support Groups.

• Presided over certain crucial network’s meetings.
